Strip The Willow

Christine

The Step-We-Ceilidh Band can teach, guide and lead you in the following Scottish Ceilidh Dances:

The Gay Gordons (a nice easy couples dance with which to start)

The Dashing White Sergeant (two groups of three per set)

Military Two Step (based on an old time couples dance)

St. Bernard’s Waltz (a simple, foot stamping, fun waltz)

Swedish Masquerade (a favourite couples dance with three distinct tempos)

Strip the Willow (men face women in a line, exciting even to think about it, great for weddings)

Orcadian Strip the Willow (always one of the highlights, where you can dance with everyone)

Circassian Circle (a circle dance with many variations)

Britannia Two-Step (a good mixer, danced in threes)

The Canadian Barndance (a couples dance, easy to learn variation on other twosteps)

The Virginia Reel (a great swinging reel guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor!)

The Flying Scotsman (4 men and 4 women facing each other)

Sheena's Saunter (another easy to learn circle dance)
